The Challenge
A mid-market PE fund was evaluating the acquisition of an EUR 80M wound care portfolio from a larger MedTech corporation. The fund needed an independent commercial assessment to validate revenue sustainability, competitive positioning, and growth potential before proceeding with the transaction.
Our Approach
We conducted a four-week commercial due diligence covering market dynamics, customer concentration risk, competitive threats, and pipeline assessment. Our work included structured interviews with 25+ customers, distributors, and industry experts, combined with bottom-up revenue modeling and scenario analysis. We specifically assessed the impact of MDR on the target's product portfolio and identified regulatory-driven portfolio rationalization risks.
